Default help me choose a profession?

Im in denial here..so i guess ill ask the community to help me make up my mind as i cant and have been thinking for months.

heres my problem..all these while ive been playin all profession and classes due to 2 reasons,
1- the demand of the certain class in a certain area,eg:urgoz demands more bp,tombs as well, DoA demand more nukers.
2- im just curious how it feels to play the profession

so right now i have 12 slots..2 of which are pvp chars and partial mule. i got a character for all profession. but what i wan now is a main character which can do almost everything and go anywhere without me worrying oh i gotto login xx character to this and xx character to do that.

and the other reason i wan this main character is to go for all the titles..or atleast try..starting with survivor and maxing it out then to the others.i use to be a big fan of warriors but i dont see them in demand at all most of the time ill be henching/hero-ing and places like urgoz, doa, tombs, fow need only 1 warrior max.

this next profession gotto have some neat armor and weapons too as i feel the nice outlook of it does make a players wanna play more..

so yea heres wat ppl been telling me
necro and rangers are the most versatile and can solo alot..to my experience..when i use my necro i only went ss or mm or full hex(curse) nothing great about it..and killing takes times.

as for rangers..i spend most of my time as bp and i do find it a lil boring and trapping is really time consuming if you wanna go around and map area.

monks make me sleepy..but i guess its just the way i play it that makes me feel boring..

so far eles are quite cool when u get alot of skills.and deverish as well but they are quite low in demand..

so yea please help me make up my mind and er...if can state wats the benefit of the class?so it ease my decision making?

thanks a bunch

SS, MM, Blood, BiP, 55, SV, all support, healer, nuker, domination, illusion..... the list goes on and on....

and necros excel at having a powerful build, but still having 2-3 slots to support the party

Hmm....

That I think is partially true. But not entirely. Healer, Nuker, Domination, Illusion, etc.?

Mesmer > Necro in Illusion, Domination, Healing, Nuking.

Some may argue that Rits are more of a Jack-Of-All-Trades type of class with their own: Healing, Protection, Nuking, MMing (mainly bombing).

But I think Necros are the most demanded. Survivability is very good (compared to an ele). As stated, Necro is probably the way to go (I'm very biased towards necros too ).

Believe me, if you want primary power, go necro. Don't use a primary class to do mainly your 2ndary profession. It's worthless. That's my $0.02

I like not running out of energy myself. if you want to run out even FASTER than a monk you could try healing with a mesmer

There really isn't no way to tell you what to play it is best to experiment to a certain lvl if you don't like it delete. You could also try the PvP char out on the Nameless Island to get an Idea.

Neither do I, but then again, my Me/Mo doesn't run out of energy.

The trick is to know what to bring, what you'll be facing and what is your role. I would never suggest a non-primary Monk or Rit to be the primary healer. But a small backup, sure.

N/Mo is way better at healing in PvE than a monk primary. you dont need ginormous heals and soul reaping keeps your energy high.

dont use primary class to do my 2ndary profession means...no monking with a necro?

ive done monking on my necro but i find i heal more with some divine...not sure bout you guys...the other thing not tried is using necro as a nuker..hmm most of the ele skills are high in casting cost..cant be casting 2 25energy skills and then a 15energy skill.

@Coloneh - Mo/x with all the spells in all 3 campaigns has better healing per energy point than a N/Mo. If you say N/Mo in Prophecies is better than a Mo/x in Prophecies only, how is that possible? Monks have energy maintanence you know (used to be Mo/Me only, but you can with Mo/E, or if you know how to heal, then Mo/x). 5 energy heals can heal and be energy friendly. Then again, I also like to midigate damage than just to heal it.

@ Tytons - Glyph of Lesser Energy now allows you two spells to have reduced energy cost, and don't forget attunements as well. Only exhaustion gets me (but my Mo/E has glyph of energy (e) ) When I say don't do a primary's job with a secondary, I mean, don't nuke with a x/E. I've seen warriors becoming MM, Me/Mo becoming primary healers, etc. Trust me, its not the same. I admit, I've done my share of 2ndary professions acting as a primary. When I hench (and only when I hench - no other human players in the party), I'll go ele (just for some fun and a change). I've been the primary healer as a D/Mo, not too bad, but it was in an easy area (Magumma Jungle). So I won't do it in Fire Island or something like that.

As a primary, you have runes, which makes you more powerful than a profession that can't get past 12 attributes.

yes, necros dont heal for as much as a monk, but they have much better energy management. You can spam out heal other and heal party all day with 16 SR.
